The best time to take a dip in the south would be from December to April and from June till September. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels around Galle and Una to welcome your stay. How to get to Unawatuna beach ?

If you are travelling from Colombo there are 3 modes of transportation.

·        Train

·        Private transport

Since the highway is available it only takes an hour and few minutes to the destination. There are highway busses which are comfortable and affordable which starts from different parts of Colombo. If you prefer the train it could be got on from the Fort railway station.
